A Brief Discussion on the Factor That Most Significantly Affects the Lead Time of Hollow Board—Color
As is well known, hollow board products come in a wide variety of colors and can be customized using color masterbatches to achieve any desired shade. However, the choice of color has the greatest impact on lead times. Since hollow boards are produced by extrusion using an extrusion machine, they require cooling during the process, and the production line is relatively long. To switch from one color to another, at least 200 kilograms of PP material must be used for flushing. Considering the cost associated with color changes, we generally arrange for hollow boards of the same color to be produced together, and only after completing one batch will we start producing another batch in a different color.
For the same batch of hollow board products, the delivery time can sometimes be very fast, while at other times it may be significantly slower. This largely depends on the color of the hollow boards you need and the color of the hollow boards currently being produced. For example, if you require blue boards and the color being produced happens to be blue as well, the delivery time will be relatively quick. However, if the colors don't match, the delivery time will be longer. Typically, the colors available for production include blue, white, gray, and black. Therefore, if your requirements for the hollow boards don't have strict color preferences, it's best to choose one of the standard colors.
