What are the advantages of using flame-retardant hollow boards?
A flame-retardant hollow-board turnover box—just from the name, you can probably guess its primary function. Literally translated, it’s a turnover box made from hollow boards that are inherently flame-retardant and self-extinguishing. Many people also refer to it as flame-retardant board, flame-retardant plywood, or fire-resistant hollow board, among other terms. A so-called flame-retardant hollow-board turnover box is one in which a flame retardant is added to the raw materials used in manufacturing the hollow-board turnover box. This significantly enhances the flame resistance of the hollow-board material. Hollow-board turnover boxes containing flame retardants possess characteristics such as self-extinguishing properties and a reduced burning rate.
The most appealing feature of flame-retardant hollow-core turnover boxes is that, in the event of an accidental fire, they can effectively inhibit the rate of fire spread and extinguish the flames to the greatest extent possible—even directly putting out flames that have already ignited. Once removed from the source of ignition, the material in these boxes quickly self-extinguishes without allowing the fire to continue spreading, thereby effectively isolating the fire source and protecting the products stored inside. This makes them exceptionally safe and reliable.
Generally speaking, flame-retardant hollow board turnover boxes often incorporate inorganic flame retardants, halogen-based flame retardants, phosphorus-based flame retardants, and ammonium-based flame retardants into the base materials to enhance their flame-retardant performance.
