What’s the price of 3mm hollow-core panels? Hollow-core panels are non-standard materials. For panels of the same 3mm thickness, the weight per square meter can range from 500g to 1200g. Therefore, simply asking for a price based solely on thickness is meaningless. Additionally, there are two types of panel formulations: those made from virgin material and those containing added fillers. Since their quality differs, so do their prices. Now let’s talk about how to calculate the unit price: The unit price of a hollow-core panel = Panel area × Weight per square meter × Material unit price (in yuan/kg). The area of the 3mm-thick sheet required is 500×600 mm, and its basis weight is 500 g/m². We’ll calculate the price based on a material unit price of 11 yuan/kg. Therefore, the price per sheet = 0.5 × 0.6 × 0.5 × 11 = 1.65 yuan. In real-world cases, additional costs such as shipping fees, die-cutting mold charges, and printing expenses may also be involved.
