Where are hollow boards used in everyday life?
Hollow-core boards are renowned for their eco-friendliness. In today’s society, as people’s quality of life continues to improve and functional demands grow ever higher, hollow-core boards have quietly—and almost unnoticed—appeared before us, capturing our attention with their striking presence. Yet despite the abundance of packaging materials available, these boards manage to stand out from the crowd. So, exactly where are they used?
1. The express delivery industry. Express delivery has long been a major consumer of paper-based supplies. As paper prices continue to rise—and given that paper is prone to damage and moisture—many large e-commerce platforms and express delivery companies have begun adopting corrugated cardboard boxes made from honeycomb panels. In the future, paper boxes used in express delivery will gradually be replaced by honeycomb-panel boxes.

Using hollow board as dividers or cushioning pads can help distribute the stress points across the items, and since hollow boards are affordable, they can help reduce overall logistics costs.
4. Home appliance industry: Flame-retardant hollow boards can be used as base supports for home appliances, effectively protecting them from ground abrasion. Additionally, hollow-board card holders can be fashioned into TV backplates, providing effective protection against collisions and wear between products.
5. The advertising industry: Billboard signs can be made using corona-treated hollow boards. After undergoing a discharge treatment, ordinary hollow boards become easily printable in a wide variety of colors and patterns. Moreover, they feature a smooth surface, no odor, no color variations, and excellent color-retention properties.
Hollow board is one of the lighter types of plastics. It features a pure texture and is moisture-proof, waterproof, wear-resistant, corrosion-resistant, and can be repeatedly recycled. It’s an ideal material for replacing wood boards, cardboard, metal sheets, and iron plates.
