Printing Requirements for Hollow Board Manufacturers
As people’s awareness of environmental protection continues to grow, hollow-core boards—characterized by their exceptional eco-friendliness—are being widely used as materials for packaging products, billboards, and display stands. In particular, products destined for export and those manufactured by foreign companies in China are subject to specific requirements regarding brushed-printing processes. Therefore, hollow-core board manufacturers must continually enhance both their brushing and printing techniques as well as the quality of their brushed-printed products.
The hollow-core board factory in India produces products consisting of five key components: the screen mesh, the printing squeegee, the ink, the printing table, and the hollow-core board itself. The basic principle behind screen-printing is that certain openings in the screen mesh allow ink to pass through and transfer onto the substrate, thereby forming the desired pattern. The remaining areas of the screen remain blocked by the mesh, preventing ink from penetrating and leaving those areas blank on the substrate. Traditionally, plate-making was done manually; however, photochemical plate-making has become more common in modern times. In this method, the screen mesh serves as a support and is securely mounted onto a frame. Next, the negative film to be printed is tightly adhered to the back side of the screen. After exposure and development, the portions of the screen that do not require ink will be exposed to light, causing these areas to harden into a solid film that effectively seals the mesh, preventing ink from penetrating during the printing process. During the development stage, the areas of the screen that were exposed to ink will remain porous, allowing the ink to penetrate and thus forming the final printed image.
The printing factory specializing in hollow-core board printing can use screen-printing technology to produce exceptionally beautiful billboards that showcase vivid images and text on the surface. To achieve even more striking results, manufacturers of hollow-core board printing should also pay close attention to ink extraction, enhancing the photosensitivity of the photosensitive resin layer and improving the resistivity of the printing plate. It’s important to maintain proper environmental conditions and perform regular machine maintenance. Additionally, be sure to treat the surface with a phosphoric acid solution to stabilize the graphic areas. During the printing process, careful wiping of the ink is crucial—this not only effectively protects the printing plate but also prevents localized damage caused by uneven ink thickness or incomplete wiping, which could otherwise lead to defects in the printed image.
