Methods for Determining the Flame-Retardant Grade of Hollow Boards
Hollow board turnover boxes play an important role in a wide range of industries, including electronics, packaging, machinery, light industry, postal services, food, pharmaceuticals, pesticides, household appliances, advertising, interior decoration, cultural supplies, optomagnetic technology, bioengineering, healthcare, and many others. They are a new type of environmentally friendly packaging material.
Hollow board turnover boxes are manufactured by adding flame retardants to plastic raw materials. They offer superior performance, preventing combustion in the event of a fire and thus avoiding financial losses.
There are several grades of flame-retardant hollow board turnover boxes, and the appropriate grade is selected based on customer requirements. So how do we test the grade of a flame-retardant hollow board turnover box? The method is quite simple: just set fire to the hollow board turnover box, and you’ll immediately know its flame-retardant grade. Below are the different grades of flame-retardant hollow board turnover boxes identified according to the test results:
1. After conducting two 10-second combustion tests on the hollow-board turnover box, the flame extinguished within 30 seconds. No burning fragments from the hollow-board turnover box should fall off. This type of hollow-board turnover box is classified as V0-level flame-retardant, representing a higher-grade flame-retardant hollow-board turnover box.
2. After conducting two 10-second burn tests on the hollow-board turnover box, the flame extinguished within 60 seconds. No burning fragments from the hollow-board turnover box should fall off. This type of hollow-board turnover box is classified as a V1-level flame-retardant product.
3. After conducting two 10-second burn tests on the hollow-board turnover box, the flame extinguished within 60 seconds. Some burning debris from the hollow-board turnover box may fall off; this type of hollow-board turnover box is classified as a V2-level flame-retardant model.
